Position Description:

Assists in coordinating, supervising and directing all aspects of pupil transportation and vehicle maintenance.  

Special Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent. College coursework and/or degree preferred.
2. Knowledge of pertinent federal, state, local laws, codes, including laws regulating pupil transportation, CDL drivers and vehicles, and laws specific to students with special needs.
3. Possession of or the ability to obtain CDL, school bus driver certification, behind the wheel training certification, ODE classroom training certification, and 3rd party testing certificate.
4. Self-starter with proven analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills.
5. Ability to establish and maintain harmonious and cooperative working relationships with the public, students, administrators, staff, contractors, consultants, and public agencies.
6. Ability to remain focused and calm in stressful/chaotic situations.
7. Practices exceptional skills in leading, coaching, motivating, and developing staff, while maintaining confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy.
8. Minimum of four (4) years of experience in the pupil transportation industry including positions of progressively increasing responsibility, or a combination of experience, training, and education in a similar industry coupled with experience in pupil transportation.
9. Excellent leadership skills as demonstrated by excellent attendance, work ethic, and job performance.
10. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
11. Intermediate to advanced technology skills providing the ability to enter, organize, and retrieve information. Knowledge of spreadsheets and software used in pupil transportation.

This is a full time position, 260 day contract.

Salary is $65,000-$70,000/yr.
