Under the direct supervision of a licensed teacher, the substitute instructional assistant will supervise students during the recess period, in the classroom and perform other duties as assigned. Possible assignments could include one-on-one student assistance, Special Education classrooms or general education classrooms for students Kindergarten through 12th grade. Duties are at all schools in the District and assignments may be different each day.
- Must have seventy two (72) credit hours of post high school studies, earned an Associate’s Degree or higher or passed the WorkKeys test.
- Experience working with elementary-school-age students preferred but not required.
- Must have ability to work harmoniously with teachers, students, and other staff.
- Must be able to take direction appropriately, changing tasks as necessary.
- Bilingual applicants desired, but not required.
- Must be dependable and flexible with schedule.

- Current Passport OR Driver License and Social Security Card/Birth Certificate
- Copy of post high school transcript showing either 72 credit hours or associates degree or above OR copy of WorkKeys completion certificate
- Voided personal check if you want to sign up for direct deposit of payroll checks.
Applicants recommended for conditional employment are required to be fingerprinted and have a criminal record check at their own expense (presently $12.50, plus $59.00 per employee).
