Oregon City School District sponsors Restricted Substitute Licenses as needed for those who hold at least a Bachelor's degree. If you are iterested in becoming a substitute teacher and have completed your Bachelor's degree, we would welcome you to apply for this position.
If you are a current substitute teacher in our district you do not need to complete this application. You will need to complete the annual required trainings through Clackamas ESD and submit your training transcript to Human Resources for the 2024-25 school year if you have not already done so.
After completing the Restricted Substitute Teacher application, you will be contacted by the department of human resources to schedule an interview once we have reviewed your application.
Substitute Requirements:
- Hold a Valid Oregon teacher's license
- Demonstrate the ability to establish positive rapport with students.
- Ability to carry out lesson plans prepared by the regular teacher.
- Ability to follow District policy and procedures.
- Maintain safe environment for students at all times.
Licensed Substiutes are paid in half or full day increments.
Substitutes who teach in the same job/classroom for more than 10 consecutive days will be paid at a higher rate beginning on the 11th day.
